Last night my laptop was in Standby so I pressed the power button to wake it up. It seemed to load fine and then all of a sudden there was a loud "static" kind of noise from the speakers and the system shut down. When I press the power button the power light comes on for about 6 seconds and then it shuts off. The HD light does not come on and there is no sound of the system starting.

Seems like it might be a power issue to I tried with the AC power cord only and battery removed and vice versa. Still getting the same result. Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!
