The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Its not really a problem with the laptop......the laptop changes resolution when it goes into sleep mode, and windows automatically moves the icons around.

    My friend has an IBM Thinkpad X60 and he has the same problem. The solution is to stop the laptop from changing resolution, but I dont know if that is feasible.

    well of course the problem is solved by not having the res change automatically, and it is not normal behavior. Ive used hibernate for many years on many laptops and never seen this issue before.
