I am planning to upgrade my new m1210 to Vista about a year or so after all the bugs are worked out.

I am assuming this machine will be fully capable of running Vista Premium in all its graphic glory. My only concern is I read the the Aero graphic feature requires 128MB GPU, and the 7400 comes with only 64MB (dedicated). Or does the additional 192MB shared count for this purpose?

Can somebody explain to me whether I will be able to run Vista Premium?

You'll be fine. Aero works on the GMA 950 which has all shared video memory. Vista just requires that you have 128MB of graphics memory available for resolutions greater than 1024x768 (64MB for lower resolutions) whether it is shared or dedicated.
