So suddenly the screen on my m1210 won't turn on anymore. It will push the image to an external monitor just fine. Before this happened, I was fiddling around with the resolutions abit, but never noticed that the screen was never turning on until a few days later since I always have it hooked up to an external monitor.
I checked the settings and it doesn't even detect the default monitor being there at all.
Also, I checked the hardware profiles and theres 2 default monitors installed, that doesn't seem right to me.
Is there any possibility that this is a software/firmware/driver issue? I really hope its not my screen that has just gone down the drain.

Were you fiddling around in Windows or the BIOS?

At least, let us know that the screen is working on not. Does the screen stays off even during boot?
Removed the VGA cable, reboot the machine, see if the Dell logo comes up. If it doesn't you might have blown the inverter. Call Dell up and they can replace it with a new LCD panel for you. -
Called up Dell, went through a bunch of procedures on the phone including reseating the VGA cable as said, still not working at all. So, they'll be installing a new one for me. I'll be without my laptop for 2 weeks minimum now apparently.
