My m1210 came with a pair of 512mb dual channel 667mhz. I'm thinking about upgrading to a pair of 1gb dual channel 667mhz.

How do I tell if the stick of ram will share the memory with nvidia go7400? I don't want to be stuck with only 64mb dedicated ram.

Unfortunately you're stuck with the 64 MB dedicated regardless of what you do with your RAM. Most say the turbocaching of the go7400 makes it equivalent to a card with 128 MB dedicated as long as you have enough RAM that the RAM isn't being used for anything else. So it is possible that increasing system RAM will increase your video card performance, but changing your RAM is not going to change the fact that you only have 64 MB of dedicated memory.

thanks. I guess every little bit of ram helps. Last time I used Google Earth (uses 3d hardware acceleration) it ate up all the available physical memory, page file went over 1gb, so I assume the same will happen in games.

does turbo caching work with all types of laptop ram?

Yes, as long as the RAM works with the notebook, turbo cache will work ;) .
