I am looking at getting a m1210 (or thinkpad), and I saw that ebay has a bunch of them for amazing prices and new. You can save between $500-1000. Has anybody seen these prices? Is it possible that they are legit and that Dell has that much of a markup. I am very inexperienced with ebay, but this sounds too good to pass. I really like the thinkpads, but I want 12.1 screen. Thanks for any help.

Great link, thanks. I'm curious, how do you like the m1210, and did you ever consider a thinkpad (i am looking at the t60)?

I have owned the xps m140, e1505 and now the t60 and by far the thinkpad is my favorite.

Yeah I just saw all of the great prices on the m1210's and I am probably going to order one but it is refurbished. Does anyone know how the refurbished ones are? Do they still come in the cool box?

Why would you get a refurb. when they have new ones, still in the box, for cheap. Unless you mean you are going through the Dell outlet and not ebay?

I recently ordered the dell m1210 in my sig (minus the atheros card) from ebay user cooltechstuff4u for 1819 shipped. The same congfiguration on dell.com comes out to 2510. According to UPS tracking it should be delivered on tuesday. They seem legit, they even called me personally the night of my purchase to confirm my order.

I am getting it because of the lower prices. I just ordered a m1210 with 1.83Ghz c2d processor,80gb hard drive, nvidia geforce go 7400,webcam,and 1gb of ram. for 1,100 shipped. It is refurbished but I think it is a good deal. What do you all think. Oh yeah and it's from ebay
