    m1330 - Money taken BEFORE delay notice

    ordered an m1330 on 6th july, estimated delivery 1st August. ok no worries, don't mind waiting. So on 28th July i get an Order Delayed email, new delivery estimate September 7th.

    No problem, waiting for something i haven't yet payed for is fine but i check my account and they have taken the money for the m1330 on 27th - one day before the order delay email.

    i'm not questioning the legality of this, i know i will get the money back when i cancel monday morning but ethically it really blows. Did dell consider that a large number of people would cancel with an extra 5 week estimated delivery date and purposely charge their cards the day before?

    im sure. was mostly just wondering if dell have timed this or have i just been unlucky.

    Well no matter anyhow, i've already ordered a new macbook pro. :)
