    Hi guys,

I'm a recent M1330 buyer. I noticed that if I turn my notebook end-over-end, it makes a rattling sound, as if there is something loose inside that is sliding around. The sound seems to be localized to the area around the fan. Is this normal or should I be calling support? The laptop hasn't exhibited any problems, the noise is just a little disconcerting.

Also, would I void my warranty if I were to open the area above the fan myself?

You can open either of the two rear compartment doors without risking any damage, or voiding your warranty. Those doors open to reveal the RAM slots, and Wireless/WWAN cards which are all user-serviceable.
