    Hi,

I have a question about the m1330 notebook. Recently I need to run some codes in Matlab on this laptop. This will require the notebook to run at full capacity (probably 100% cpu) for over 12 hours processing images. Is this safe? Is this laptop designed to allow for such usage?

    Thanks.

Ya it should be fine, you might want to throw a fan on it though or something to aid it in the heat dissipation.

Get a cooler or something to make it easier on the laptop.

    A notebook cooler wouldn't hurt.

yeah, or just eleate it using bottle caps or somethin. or a laptop coller or a fan right beside it and a cool room would be a +1 as well.

Thanks for the input. It sounds like it won't cause too much problem. I will try it by putting something at the bottom to leave some space.

I am wondering if you need to crunch numbers for 12 hours on end....wont getting a notebook be a little underspec'ing for the job at hand?

But regrdless, it would probably be fine. Just as long as you keep it cool with a cooler or an A/C'ed room.

Keep a close eye on the CPU core temps. They should be below 80c. Use HWMonitor.

Get a cooler or fan to ease the heat. Heat is the main issue here.
