    Hey guys
I brought a hdmi to dvi cable yesterday. Today when i connect cable, took me like 10 min to figure out the right resolution for my 70 inch tv. I discover that theres no sound coming out from the tv when i hook up my cable. I recall, my friends ps3 use the same cable can configure the sound. But i don't know why when i play video. Theres only sound coming up from my laptop not from my tv... so basically the image transfer to TV but no sound. Please help ? i was really hoping that this would work :(

    thanks .
    much appreciated

HDMI carries sound but DVI does not carry sound. When you convert HDMI to DVI only the video is sent to the TV. Next to your TV's DVI input you will find audio inputs.

Only HDMI runs sound. DVI does not. So....hook up the component cables/optical or RCA cables.
