Plug it up with silly putty and then color the putty black with a magic marker.

Err, oops, was I thinking of the microphones?

Um. You can take your laptop apart and disconnect the wires leading up to the led. :p

Please members, funkmasterta is only trying to correct a problem with their laptop.
Advice like those above will not help matters...
    Thank you any way..
@funkmasterta to disable the Led for the webcam you need to

    1. Remove AC mains plug from laptop..
    2. Remove the battery from rear off laptop.
At this point you should find that the led is now OFF!!

All jokes aside if your led is always on put in a fault report to Tec support.

Just pop off the bezel, put a piece of black tape over the LED, and reinstall the bezel. Solved...

Well, I just wondering if there was a way to make it not light up when in use.

You know, like a "stealth mode."

    ;)

Trying to figure out who is making your keyboard all sticky?

Or maybe writing your own Lo Jack software... takes a picture of the thief and sends it to you!
