Confirmed: It is now $150 (USD) to upgrade from the CCFL screen to the LED screen on the Dell M1330. The price was previously 300 dollars to upgrade and created quite a bit of controversy if that price was worth the upgrade.

People who spent the $300 to get this will still think it woulda been worth it in order to justify them paying double.

I still think 150 is too much. Dell is MILKING the LED market.

It was bound to happen. Early adopters always have to pay a high price!

I have the LED screen and I don't think it's worth the $300 upgrade cost.

Early Adopters (yours truly included) actually "paid" $150, not $300. It was those who waited until October 2007 or so through now who paid $300, which was too high. $150 is a bit high, but certainly worth it IMHO.

When I go anywhere where I only need to use my M133O for well under 2 hours, I take my 4 cell battery and have a full-featured loaded laptop weighing in at just under 4 pounds. That's worth the extra $150 before discounts.

Hopefully by next year the LED screen will be standard.
