    m1330 mic not working

    Ok, my mic has been working fine for months. I recently have had some things done to my m1330. I had my screen replaced last thursday, and on Saturday had a system failure due to missing boot files so I used a backup disk that I made to bring it back. But now I find that my built-in mic does not pickup any sound at all. This is different from the other mic problems I've read about such as the hardly any sound being picked up issues. Vista settings tell me that the mic should be working, alas it is not. My webcam is working perfectly however. Is it possible that the mic was damaged when the screen was being replaced? Is it unlikely since my webcam works fine?
