    is the optical disc drive noisy? if yes then how noisy and when is it noisy?

    and what about the fan noise?

    Mine's noisy when loading and ejecting discs. Otherwise, not too noisy.

    Fan noise doesn't bother me.

    the drive is a little noise and the fan noise doesn't bother me either a great machine :)

    I concur, neither are "loud" to me. They do make noise, but nothing I would consider overboard.
