    base is now $1400
    LED option is $200

looks like dell is trying to get less new orders in so they can catch up!

or...they are using the idea to make more $$ assuming the # of orders will remain constant thus increasing profit.

this also reduces the number of cancellations and alleviates the frustration of those still waiting for their 1330s to arrive. I mean, essentially anyone who has already ordered 1330 is getting a $100-150 meaning they'll have to pay that much more if they try ordering it again ;) :p

It's a hot notebook right now, and it's going to get hotter. It was smart and ****ty on their part to increase the price.

Looks like the prices are the same in Euro's, for the time being at least.

Woah! As of this post, at Dell Canada, the LED display without webcam option is a free upgrade! They're also listing 6+9 cell batteries as a combo as well!

There is an engineering hold on this model due to poor build quality and other issues.

Well that sounds like good news. About the only thing I'm prepared to wait for is them getting their act together and making the M1330's as perfect as they should be.

Haha, right. That's why the corporate manager I've been working with has said nothing and that's why my replacement ordered on the 16th has already shipped.

I would worry about that since many of us who are awaiting replacements have tentative ship dates around mid September.

I don't see a price increase. Both Home and Small Business list the base model at $1299....

oh, and RAM is now just an AMAZING bargain at $125 and $500! (probably b/c they realized their mistake of making both sticks easily accessible in the back)
And maybe the $200 LED screen is just to make all us june-early july customers shut up about wanting their free Timbuk 2s (which I was told today are OOS)
