There's another thread on this, but it never came to any kind of resolution:

I got my refurb m1330 today. When I stick the remote in it gets stuck. No matter how hard I push on it, it won't come out. I can kind of help wiggle it out with a toothpick.

I've read on another thread that after using the m1330 for a few months, people seem to have the same problem.

My question is: should I bother contacting dell about this? Even if they send me a new m1330 will the problem just start happening again in a few months?

I'm not overly concerned. I doubt I'll use the expresscard slot for anything and I'll rarely use the remote. I will probably just keep it in my bag.

Just wondering if any of you guys have had a similar experience.

So is the release latch on the expresscard slot jammed or does it still work?

Are you sure you are using the latch. Push it in so it pops out, then push it back in and this will push your remote out a little, enough for you to pull the remote out.

This is an expresscard slot - no latch.

Also, the plastic "place holder" that fits into the slot slides in and out correctly. It is just the remote that is having problems.

There's a little button next to the card slot that you can push, that's what I was referring to.

@andrewdunn ring up Tec support they might swap out the faulty part or you might get a replacement unit..

Strange... I was looking at m1330 pictures and the expresscard slot doesn't have a release latch button after all, why?

It has a push to release unit.. Once the cards is in place you just push/press on the card to release..

I'm posting this only for the benefit of someone who may search for this in the future...

It seems to work now. I guess it took a day or so to "Open Up". Keep working it in and out, and eventually it will come out like normal.
