    Hi,

The first thing I did when I got my m1330 was re-install vista. I've gotten everything working except the amazing (hehe) built-in speakers do not appear to function, the system thinks its outputting to the speakers, but there is actually no sound, is there something i need to do to enable the speakers?

    thanks,
    BMF

Did you reinstall the codecs? Try visiting support.dell.com and downloading drivers that you may need or use the drivers reinstallation disk from Dell.

There are quite a few you need to get including chipset, audio, graphics, and wireless drivers.

when you try to play something does it come up with an error message?

did you plug the speaker cable into the wrong port?

    accidently uninstall the driver?

are any of the volume options on mute (ie wave)?
