i have the CCFL screen, which means i have the 2mp webcam. However, no matter what resolution i try to record as, it seems to be capped at 8 fps. I was using the Dell Webcam program thing...

Is it normal, or is it running weaker than it should be? Is there a better webcam recording program?

i have the same and all i have to say is: THE WEBCAM SUCKS! the quality is ridiculous for 2.0MP, my cell phone can capture better pictures with its vga camera

the shutter speed is slow for the camera, that might be the problem

I have the webcam on my 1520, and I can say that it does not suck. The webcam automatically scales back shutter speed depending on the lighting conditions you are working at.

Just try using the webcam in a well lit room.

Though there should have been an option to manually configure the shutter speeds.
