    Hi.

    I got 4921 in pcmark 05 without vista sp1, now with sp1 only 3997 ?? (i did several times, always below 4000)

I don't really few difference in normal use with or without sp1.. but the difference is huge! does those score really accurate?

did you try to update all you drivers after installing sp1?.. there might be a probability that you need to do it..

Hey kossel, I did a clean install of Vista and found that my system started up ~15s faster by loading the bare minimum of drivers, doing ALL updates through windows update, and THEN loading drivers for video and whatnot.

Not sure if that helps, but at least on my system installing drivers and software AFTER SP1 helped.

Whenever doing a clean install, always install any service packs first. You want to get the foundation of the OS up and running/stable before installing drivers. It's just good practice.

Just make sure that you are plugged in and your power profiles are configured accordingly.

That would be the optimum, besides, after doing a few clean installs, it's like riding your bike.

    Cheers!
