I know this has been addressed before but I could not find any sort of numbers whatsoever comparing the two.

Is there a *definite* difference between the two screens in terms of the battery life?

If there is an answer to that already sorry for the topic spam.

I have almost the same specs as liquidplasma (T7100 instead of T5250) but with an LED display. I can get ~3:30 with the brightness at two notches from max and browsing the internet. You'll probably be able to get more if you play around with the power settings a bit - I've noticed my CPU ramping up in clock speed on occasion, which I'm sure it doesn't need to do when just browsing, so if you lock it down, I'd say 3:45-4 hours on the 6 cell with an LED backlit display.

I was actually extremely surprised at the low power consumption. At idle with Wi-fi enabled, and the display at 3 notches below max, it consumes only 12.5-13.5 watts/hr.
