    Hi there,

I am having some weird issues with my m1330. Every now and then whenever I touch my palmrest I can feel a bit of electricity on my fingers. I dont know why this is happening but when I take the power off and run it off the battery the electricity is gone. It happens every now and then and I can only feel it on the palmrest on both sides and not the mouse or keyboard or anywhere else.

Does anyone know what the problem could be, and has anyone experienced this before?

    Thanks.

i feel the hard drive spinning if that's what you mean. I've felt electricity run through my hands before (i was a curious child, luckily i didn't get killed, anywho) and this doesn't feel like that.

got the exact same problem. On power cord the palmrest has electricity. On battery there is nothing.

You can feel it by touching the palmrest slightly with your finger and let it slide. No doubt about it.

I bet there is some bad grounding into the chassis somewhere, but I wonder why it is not there when on battery.

There are LOTS of posts on this subject, but it keeps coming up as if no one has noticed this before.

That proves it's electricity and not the hard drive vibrating.

See if you can get Dell to send you the three-prong adapter. The two-prong adapter isn't grounded.
