    m140 dual layer dvd or xp pro?

    Many of the outlet deals have either of these at about the same price with all other things being equal...is the media center software good enough or is XP worth getting over the dual layer dvd burner? don't really know anything bout dual layer burners...so feel free to educate me....

    Well, the dual-layer burner isn't a big improvement over single-layer. However, there's no need for most people to get XP Pro or MCE. First, you don't have any use for the features. Second, I hear some people get it without paying (mine came with Pro; I'm a good boy).

    thanks.....I did some reading up on dual layer machines...don't really see a need for it myself but you know how it is....you pass on something then 6 months down the road you kick yourself for not getting the latest....

    your m140 came with xp pro automatically? I own an XP pro upgrade. Is it worth it to install over the xp media center?
