Hi everybody, finally received my m1530 and I remember seeing a couple of threads where people were saying the screen was so bright they had to lower brightness. Well, for me, it's pretty much the opposite, I had to use the hotkey Fn + up and push it up to the max to actually get a decent viewing since the screen was so dark.

    How is yours exactly?

Every screen is a little different. Also, some people view things differently...and ambient lighting vastly affects a perceived brightness.

I prefer mine on the max brightness as well. I compared it with my friends hp and they are around the same. Its fine for me on the max brightness, no complaints

For mine, max is to brite in normal lighting conditions. I have mine turned down 2 notches and its still pretty brite. Reminds me when I had my HP DV9300 with the Ultra BriteView screen.
