After hours of research online, reading comments here and waiting for the shippinh, the beast has finally arrived.

    t7500 for the processor
    3G of RAM
    NVIDIA 256M DDR3
    Wireless N Intel card
    200M 7200 RPM
    WXGA+ LG screen
    9 CELL Battery

And well, the rest is more or less influencing people's choice around here.

Yes it is very solid, gamed with it for a few hours yesterday and everything is smooth. I haven't experienced any lag or problems and I still haven't formatted and cleared everything so it is bloated and runs very smoothly still. Th design is indeed very nice. Only problem I have experienced is the Silver XPS writting on the lid. The S actually fell off on my desk (Thought they were kinda carved in there, nope only silver letters glued there) which is not a biggie, I will simply glue it back there.

My very main concern was choosing between WSXGA+ or WXGA+ for my computer. I haven't been able to check locally the difference between both, no store had them. The only thing I saw though is that a 17 inches screen was WXSGA+ and it was quite small already, so I thought 2 less inches might be pusing it a bit. Knowing I had way more chances getting an LG display with the 1440x900 (at least, with polls and comments from here) and the fact the 1440x900 is a bit brighter (more nits) than its WXSGA+ counterpart, the choice finally went for the 1440x900 which I do not regret. Also I know some people here said that even the LG 1680x1050 was a bit grainy. 1440x900 is flawless. It's more than a sweetspot, it IS comfortable and not bulky. I do have a 1680x1050 22 inches at home and the writting is approximately the same size side by side. Anyway, if I get the 1680x1050 resolution to game, I want it on the biggest screen possible which will be my external monitor.
For videos and PS, WXSGA+ must be great, but I just can't picture myself browsing the web (some writting is already very small on some webpages) and doing some homeworks/word for hours without forcing my eyes too much on the 1680x1050. Same thing goes for gaming, after playing some Dawn of War, some of the writings were just visible so having them even smaller would have been pushing it a bit. If you go unplugged too, less battery ressources will be used.

So all in all, don't hesitate for the m1530, it is solid, good looking and don't hesitate for the 1440x900 which is an awesome resolution/quality (for the LG anyway)

I bought one on 1/9 and had bad grainy screen. They sent me a replacement but that was refurbished, and grainy too.
I have happily returned the product and waiting for the refund.

Well it seems I might have jinxed my laptop with this post :\

A little cluster of dead pixels appeared in the upper left part of my screen. Rubbing gently/flashing bright colors doesn't make it go away... Sigh time to call dell and get in the replacement adventure... I know it's not always easy...
