    Hello,
I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem on their m1530. When I plug into the hdmi everything looks great on my tv. However, my laptop screen goes blank. When I unplug the cable my laptop screen remains blank and never comes back. I have to do a hard shutdown to get it back up.
I'm using the latest nvidia drivers from www.laptopvideo2go.com. When it's hooked up to my tv I can go into the settings to set my laptop screen as primary but every time I switch it and click apply it immediately goes back to tv only. function f8 does nothing (probably because that's only for the analog connection?).
I have the 8600m GT card running vista. I'm also using an adapter to dvi since that's all my tv takes.
Thanks for any help. I'm new to this site. The forums here really helped me decide on the m1530. Other than this problem this laptop rocks. It has changed my opinion on laptops for the better.

doesn't happen on mine at all. i am using the drivers that came with the laptop (ie haven't downloaded any new ones).

have you tried using dual display (ie both laptop and tv screen going at the same time) and then unplugging the hdmi to see if the laptop screen stays on?
