Does anyone else get this? when i plug in a headset into the front 2 headphone jacks, i hear a faint, but noticeable static.. whats even more weird is that if i mute it, some of the static goes away (but its still noticeable)

Yeah, the exact same thing happens to me. It is annoying, but I have learned to live with it.

I had that when I first started using them on my 1530...but it didn't last long, and went away... :D

You could call Dell, if it really bothers you, and ask them to replace it. ;) :)

    Good luck ;) :)

i dont want to lose my LG though :( hmm.. it seems like its a grounding issue - i've heard of other mp3 players which aren't properly grounded causing static hiss on the headphne jack
