So I just got my xps 1530 and I noticed all of the heat vents are on the bottom.

What do you guys think about putting the laptop on your lap? It made my legs really hot last night. Is this a no no with these xps 1530s?

The heat vents are on the back (left side), the vent on the bottom is an intake, not exhaust. I use mine on my lap, I try to keep the left side clear and all is good.

My M1530 doesn't seems too get hot at all, but fan is blasting every 1-2 minutes. :( I could definitely use this on my lap, even the fan is running.

Mine has only gotten hot (to the touch) when I'm playing COD4, but I dont do that in my lap so any other time I've never had a problem. If you plan on playing games though I'd recommend a good coolingpad because after an hour or two it gets hot
