Hi, i installed 64 bit vista on my m1530 and then reinstalled 32 bit today. My microphones do not work though even though they did before I installed 64 bit. Can someone tell me what i need to do to get them to work?

did you install the webcam driver?

How did you test the microphone, is it through the Windows Vista utility?
-
Should I go on dell live chat?
nvm, not open -
Well, it just doesn't detect the microphone any more, cant use sound recorder or skype, although i could before i reinstalled vista.
-
Have you gone to Control Panel>Sound>Recording to see if there is the device called "Microphone Array" and if the green checkmark is beside the icon?
-
It isn't there, just says line in - HD Audio Device - not plugged in
-
I don't think you're using the correct driver then, since it's not even detecting it.
-
Where can you find the correct driver?
-
Anyone? this is really annoying

You might be missing the SigmaTel Audio driver. You can get it from Dell's website:

cheers, but about 10 mins ago i installed that, it removed old one and glitched, i restarted my comp and windows update installed a new driver and now my mic and cod4 work

Hmm, I tried this and it still is not working for me.
