    Will my dell e1405 recognize 3gb of ram if i put it in there? i know running a 32bit that ill get 3 at most...but i dont know about my computer specifically

    While you can add more ram, without a bios update and with what was out there shipped by dell it will only recognized up to 2gb, your additional gb will not be utilized.

    Whaa...? I've never heard of this...

    Either way, it will work...but you might have to update the BIOS if you see what jujube is suggesting.
