    media direct error on startup help

    I installed xp on my 1520 which originally had vista and when it boots i get an error that says,

    "unable to launch media direct please install this software and try again"

    it's a dell quickset error and I don't want to disable quickset. I wast to get rid of media direct thats why i deleted it. how do i get rid of this message?
