    would it work fine ???

    question about battery life, what is its maximum battery life

    XPS 1730???? will work better than 99% of notebooks out there(assume configured max). As for battery life, it depends what you are doing, gaming, will be shorter than surfing the net.

    Why would you use the XPS for media and photo? XPS is only bearable if you need it for gaming.

    Otherwise there are much better systems out there for media and photo editing. the HP 8710P for example.
