hi, i have a question to all the mini 9 owners with the 8gb ssd harddrive
how much gb do you get when you receive your computer from the factory? (nothing installed), does the os and pre-installed software takes a lot of space?
i am going to get a 8gb one, but i don't know if it would be too small..
i read the review, you can upgrade the ssd harddrive to a larger one in the future, anyone know how big does it support? and how to installed xp on there?
    thanks.

Which OS are you going to be ordering with the netbook? It will fit, but you aren't going to have that much left. There are some 64GB SSDs out right now and they will continue to increase the capacity of the SSDs type in the Mini.

I had about 2-3gb left from a factory install. I reinstalled windows and all the drivers and then had about 4-5gb left.

And SD cards are really cheap. I got an 8GB class 6 card for $14.99 from Amazon.

I suppose you could carry as many SD cards as you want. If you are editing documents, things like that, an SD card is probably fast enough.

However I believe I would try to get the 16GB version if I was using XP.

I have XP on mine and 16GB..I plan on adding, very soon to mine.

And, 8GB class 6 card for $14.99 from Amazon.com is a very good price.
