    Hi,
I've had this laptop for a long time. I don't remember what happened to the display assembly, or if I got it without one; but I would like to repair it, if I can. I know that it works, because I can use it on my external monitor. I also have an Inspiron 2650, which isn't nearly as fast, with a dead battery, and am thinking of franking these two so that I can get one useful unit. My initial thought was that I might be able to take the display assembly from the 2650 and put it on the 1150. Would anyone like to hazard a guess as to how successful that operation might be?
    Thanks,
    ...... john
