Anybody using dedicated driver for the LCD?

It's set to 'Default Monitor', wonder if any dedicated driver for the panel exists. Everytime I see my roomie's clear T41 screen, I get depressed :(

You're not alone - a large number of people are very depressed about the substandard D620 screen: there is an 80 page / 800 post saga about them on the Dell Forums. Since Dell keep moving the thread around, here is a permanent link:

In summary, the LCD is defective, not the driver or GPU. Dell admits there is a problem, and then doesn't.

Connection to an external monitor is one solution, as is pestering Dell for a Quanta screen (if yours is a lower res WXGA screen). Other satisfying alternatives include depositing it on the floor of the nearest Dell kiosk at several meters per second.
