I ordered the 128mb ATIs Mobility Radeon X300 card.
Though I am not really a gamer, I was looking at getting a game like Half-Life 2 or something along that line for my down times. Would I be able to get Dell to send me the 256MB NVIDA® GeForce Go 6800 in exchange for the ATI for me to install, and if I did, would I need anything else?

If that's the only game you wanna run, and you don't mind running it on low settings, no point getting the 6800, it takes about 1 hour away from your battery life.

Did you get upgraded memory? I opted to purchase memory on my own and put it in after running a few tests with stock memory.
www.newegg.com has great deals on ddr2 so-dimms. I purchased the 1gb (single stick) Muskin. $65 after $10 mail in. Runs nice and close-to doubled my framerate in my game. Time it takes to launch my game went from close to 1 minute to 13 seconds. Quite a difference.
The on-board owner's manual will help you find your video adapter. I'm unsure as to whether or not Dell will sell you one for the $199 upgrade price. You'll probably pay quite a bit more than that since you got the other video card in your laptop.

I've seen the go6800 and the 7800 on ebay (listed for dell i9300's). They were new and in-box but I can't speak on warranty validation. Prices were around 225 for the 6800 and about 500 for the 7800. That's alot of bread man. -

The Source Engine in Half-Life 2 and Counter Strike: Source aren't very demanding, and can run on just about anything. You'll be fine with the X300.
I agree - if you are only a small-time gamer, then the Go6800 upgrade isn't worth it.
my 9300 just shipped
