    Hello,

Did you have any yellow question marks in the device manager? What is it that you're plugging in?

Your laptop comes with 6-USB 2.0 ports, there are no USB 1.0 ony our system. Unless that USB key you're using is old and does not support a 2.0, your USB 2.0 should work automatically without any extra software. Again, if there are any yellow (?) in device manager, then you do have a problem.
