    my Inspiron 6000 won't turn on????

    one night i accidently took the ram out while it shutting down. after that the screen is black and i have to hold the power button to turn off. From then when i turn on the computer, i don't hear anything running at all and the screen is dark black then it turn off after 3seconds. I only can see the power light come on during that 3 seconds. it happen ever time....anyone has any suggestion of what happen...i really need this laptop for my school works....thank you so much for reading..

    The motherboard is most probably damaged. To replace it, will cost alot of money compared to the cost of the actual notebook. Have you got a warranty? If you have, then you may be able to ask them to repair it, however, don't say that you removed the RAM when the notebook was sutting down. They may not honour your warranty under that circumstance.

    accidentally taking out components of your laptop while shutting down could have been quite an accident in itself should you have been shocked or even worse, electrocuted. but yeah your mobo is probably damaged. i hope your laptop is still under warranty, otherwise your best option is to look for a new notebook considering the ratio of cost to repair it will be almost 1:1.
