SO far so good. I dont notice any light leakage, it is running a little warm, but not unsually warm.

It's a shame you missed getting the Go 7900GS, otherwise its still a kickass laptop.

yea. If it runs too hot, which i dont think it's too bad (my friend overclocked his and it got up to 115c) ill call dell and ask for an upigrade for heating reasons.

    my HD has 3 partions.

    47 mb FAT (EISA Configuration)
    4.63 GB Fat32 (Unkown Partition)
    87.05 GB NTFS (System)

Can I safely remove the other two? I have the OS restore cd from dell.

When I called Dell this morning and said mine was too/unacceptably hot, they didn't offer an upgrade...simply offered to let me buy the 7900 separately and they would credit me the current bundled price for the 7800 ($118 in my config!)...or let tech try to "fix the problem"...so since it is still in the 21 day satisfaction period, I simply got an RMA to return it and ordered a newer better system for $12 more...

with i9kfangui running the fans at slow speeds, the laptop seems to be performing much better....got to only 70C after running 2 sessions of 3dmark03...may be hope.

keep the 47mb partition (so you can repair MediaDirect later) and delete the other two to free up space.
