    Hi...My 7800GTX and Intel 2Ghz is running hot.

    In idle 55C--> 109F and CPU 40C-->104F
    In games CPU 70C-->158F, GPU 90C-->194F

    What are the recommended temperatures for my CPU and GPU and good cooler for my XPS M170?

    I have Pacific Breezer.

    i'm guessing you have intel Pentium M 760? that one has Thermal Specification of 100 degrees Celcius so thats well within limits. 70c in games is not bad at all. it is completely normal.

    the GPU is also very normal. there is nothing to worry about. GPU usually runs rather hot. yours is very normal. i think if i'm not mistaken that GPU thermal specification is around 120 degress Celcius.

    70C for the CPU under load is ok, and I guess 90C for the GPU is not too bad either. However you can use a cooling pad or follow some of the techniques listed here to bring it down a little.

    As wobble987 and PhoenixFx have already, the temperatures are nothing to worry about. However, if you want them to be little lower, then consider cleaning the notebook. The Cleaning Guide can advise on how to do that correctly. Also, it may useful to invest in a cooling pad, just to reduce the temperatures.

    x2 cooling pads are great. My vostro doesn't get very hot but after it's on my lap for awhile it's nice to have.
