so far I'm quite pleased, there is one hairline scratch on the top lid that you can only see when the light hits it a certain way, and there is a minor scuff, probably from going across the zipper of a case, total non issue, no dents, more light leakage at the bottom than I'd like, though no one likes any, its something I can deal with, another surprise I had with it is the video card, when I check the display adapter, its say at x1300 256 meg, I thought it maxed at 128? I'll post pics later and let you know more when I've had a chance to play with it some more

it did come on time, as is, default drivers, dell install, I get 1294 in 3d mark 05, and 596 in 3dmark06, I'm still confused, technically the x1300 has a max memory of 128 right? 64 dedicated, and 64 hyper, windows, as well as both 3dmark versions say I have 256 meg, and the fact that 06 runs proves that, is it safe to assume I have 128 megs of dedicated video ram?

No it's safe to assume you have 64 MB dedicated and 192 MB shared from RAM

your right, I was under the assumption that 128 was the max for the x1300, in fact I think I read it a few times here

I'll definaetly get another scratch and dent, its got a few minor scratches, but its gonna get a lot more before I'm done with it, for 600 bucks off I kinda expected something major, sometimes a fun to be proven wrong :D

The memory channels for Yonah aren't that good and from what i've read dual channel doesn't give nearly any performance increase.

runs like a champ so far......and I'm running it quite abit, on average at least 10 hours a day since I got it, I've had a few errors, but nothing chronic or anything I havent seen before
