Hello all, I am new here but appreciate all the info presented. I have my eye on the e1705. I was just curious if the nVidia GeForce Go 7800 256MB will ever be available on the e1705 again? If so, does anyone know a rough approximation of when? I was ready to purchase but they took the nVidia GeForce Go 7800 256MB option off their website  ! Is there an alternative dell laptop? I am looking for a notebook with both high multimedia performance and good business applications aptitude ( best ALL around lap top) for under $2000 (15'' or 17'')? Thanks for your time...

    Thanks,
    jonny

Hey, it's true the Go 7800 is gone, and now the X1400 with hyper memory is offered in it's place. It's not much of a surprise. There is a shortage of the 7800's. But If you still want the E1705, you can still get it with the Go 7800. Just go to dells site then go to dell outlet. I saw some the other day... They are either "referbished", "previously ordered, new", or "scratch & dent". Take a look.

In the Swedish site the card is still there with the note that the delivery date may be up to four weeks longer due to a shortage of the graphic cards.

If anyone's interested, e-mail me. If you really want to feel me out..I'll even give you my phone number. I'm not going to screw anyone. I'm saying this because I really am getting tired of getting raped by ebay's fees. And want to sell direct to gamers, not through ebay. You are defined by the company you surround yourself with. I treat people the way i woud like to be treated by them.

If you still have doubts, just ask this guy..he was "brave" enough to be the first one to go outside of [email protected]..
