The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Greetings All:
--This is my first post. I have a Dell Inspiron 1300 15.4" screen (recovered from dumpster). The screen displays a color negative image. I am using Powerstrip to renegative-ize the negative image, resulting in a usable image. Although the image is usable, pictures are rather crappy.
--An external monitor works correctly without Powerstrip. Display cable has been replaced. So apparently the problem lies on the Mother Board, I think. Your suggestions and advice are humbly solicited.

Inspiron 1300? I wouldn't bother replacing any parts in it...
