I've got my decision narrowed down to the 600m and 5150. I can get them configured for roughly the same price but don't know which would be better. I will be using this mostly for homework and surfing the web while in class. I would also like it to be capable of playing games like BFVietnam and others. The 600m would have the radion 9000 w/64mb and the 5150 has the geforce4 w/64mb, are they comparable in quality? Also the 600m would have the intel m 1.4ghz and 5150 a p4 2.6, which would be faster? I like the thinner and lighter 600m but its really not that big of a deal to me. Any thoughts?

I'd go for the 600 with the ATI 9000.

    Isn't the 1.4 M processor equal to a 2.0 pentium 4?

Hey Foosion I am also looking at the 5150.
I like the slimmer design of the 600, but as for processors, the 5150 can have up to 3.2ghz compared to the 1.7(2.5ghz P4 equivalent).
It just depends on your priorities.

thanks for the advice guys, I ended up purchasing the 5150 because I could get it with what I needed down below $1k after rebates and discounts. I couldnt justify spending much more since I am the standard poor college student and thought that was an excellent deal. What is everyones experience on the accuracy of the ship dates form dell? Mine says 4/16 right now but I would love if it would come sooner.
