    need help flashing bios ( inspiron 9400 )

    i am having problems booting my computer and so i am trying to flash the bios to see if that fixes the problem.

    I am following these steps here http://support2.jp.dell.com/docs/systems/ins9400/en/sm/flshbios.htm
    but i am unsure about a couple of things.

    The steps tells me to use "BIOS update program CD".

    I found this page which shows me how to create that cd but i'm not sure if these steps are correct or not.

    I found the bios update from dell site but i'm not sure if this is the file which i burn onto the cd.
