    hey mates .. i m usin dell inspiron I6400.. last couple of days i m facin a prblem suddenly .. i can hear sound on my laptop speakers but cant hear sound wen i plug in my speaker ... i cheked my speakers its fine .. n i reinstalled the audio device .. but still same problem .. mic is wrkin fi9 but audio out button is not wrkin .. so wat sud i doo .... plz help ... ASAP..

    First of all, write with actual words and sentences. I am going to assume you mean that when your speakers are plugged in, you cannot get any sound from them.

    Second, try plugging headphones or different speakers into the jack and see if that works.

    Did you do anything like spill or drop?

    Your English gave me a hard time to comprehend. if it's not your first language , please do not use IM.

    If your speaker on laptop works, so it'll work when you plug in the green cord from your external speakers to the headphone jack on laptop.

    You need to call Dell. Judging from the sounds of your post, it is a hardware failure. Most likely your headphone/line out jack came loose from the motherboard, and you'll need to have the motherboard replaced.
