i am trying to hurry up and take advantage of this 25% off combined with teh mail in rebate. When i configure my dell 9100 the only options it has for a sound card are 2 creative labs external sound cards. Does this mean that if i dont pick one of these external sound cards that i will not be able to listen to music, or are these just accessories to expand on the music experience. Any quick response would be much appreciated.

Here is another option (although it's probably not yet available from Dell.) It's the brand new Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS. Since its a PC Card, it might be somewhere between an internal and external solution. The web site is: http://us.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=204&product=10769

Don't know if this is what you wanted.
