I am having frustrating issues with my e1405. i reformatted into win xp pro, i have media direct working and all that, all my drivers are installed and everthing.

whats so **** anoying is that when i press one of the hot keys, the one i prob use the most at volume up or down, the whole system freezes up!!! can anyone tell me why? i dunno if this is a quickset problem. im pretty sure i have enough ram. i have 512, but only half is used most of the time. its very frustrating. my old dell dimension 8200 never acts like this, and its 8 years old. please please please help.

ill take any suggestions. if its more ram i need, ill get more ram.
