    need new dell adapter to support 12 cell?

    Hi, I ordered a laptop inspiron e1705 and im getting a 6cell battery but I may get an extra 12 cell more more battery. will i haveta get a new adapter to support more power, and can I have a 6cell and a 12 cell in the same laptop

    Do you mean a 9 cell - I don't think the E1705 has a 12 cell option and yes, your current adapter will be able to charge the 9 cell

    There is no 12 cell battery for that machine. Hope you didn't get one at ebay.

    You don't need a larger power adapter with the 9-cell (no 12-cell as posted).
