    Hi
well im going to start uni in a month(live in NZ) and am thinking of getting a dell studio 15,but have a few questions..
Is it worth it to upgrade screen from 1200x800 to 1440x900 ?
Do i need to upgrade to 4gb or is that useless?
    p8400 processor good enough?
And what colors are good? i've been thinking of green.. but is it like a woah its green! or just like nice green-not too flamboyant kind

Oh and i dont game or anything.. just use computer for browsing, itunes, watch movies
    thanks :)

I realy don't think you need to upgrade your screens resolution, you said it yourself - you don't game, and for browsing & movies 1200X800 is good enough.
Thr p8400 is a great processor.
About the RAM, for your uses I think you don't need 4GB but because you'd like to use the laptop for a couple of years, it's always good to know you got insurance of your laptop's compatibility with future tasks, so my recommendation is to upgrade.

I think that color picking should be your personal decision, based on your taste, not what other people would think about it.

    Hope I helped.

No difference as far as the screen goes; the W just stands for White.

Also.. people seemed to have a lot of problems with the laptop.. have these been ironed out.. or is it mostly case of luck
