    Hey,

I have got my new Dell 6400/1505. It looks good, works fine except one thing. Sometimes, for example when I scroll down or up on my msn list, I hear a very low volume high pitched sound. This is my first laptop, so I could not decide this is normal or not. My config:

    wsxga+, t7400, 2gb, ati x1400, 9-celll, 120 gb

I could not decide this sound is normal or not. I won't probably hear it normal use. But if it is an indication of a bigger problem, then I shoudl take action.

    thanks people.

Is it just when you scroll on MSN? Does it happen when you are scrolling on programs like Mozilla or IE or other programs?
My suggestion would be to install a program called "RM Clock" There will be a check box there that says "Run HLT" Check mark it and see if the sound has gone away

Thanks a lot. I think it worked. But another but more natural sound took its place, more like a fan. What actually does this option and the program doing? Does it affect the performance?

Sorry gridtalker, I could not undertand what you are saying. Do you think there is a problem with my screen or you think there might be a problem with it?
